Collection: Resistors

Carbon composition resistors are well known for their well-balanced natural sound in any amplifier. You can also use the lower values in speaker crossover modifications. For higher power and better sound, add multiple resistors parallel, like 5 pcs of 10R / 2W for a resulting 2 Ohms / 10W. Best speaker or anode resistor you can get, really! Also think of using less expensive values parallel to get common values, like 2 x 200k or 3 x 300k parallel for 100k. This way you also will get more precision, better stability and power and less noise.

All resistors we sell are selected by us and made by top brands like Ohmite (Little Devil), Stackpole (SEI) and Allen-Bradley. They are new and unused from original stock (NOS) and from original packing unless we mention otherwise. They come directly from Dutch and USA Army stocks.

Please note: due to their long time on stock, values of carbon composite resistors are mostly a bit higher, so not +/-5%, but more like 0-+10%. Most designs this value is not really important (like anode resistor, grid stopper, cathode resistor, etc), but when exact value is needed we recommend choosing some extra to make a good match. In speaker crossovers you can take a few extra parallel and tune the sound by ear. This always is recommended, since speaker companies use the E12 range (which in practise never is right) and also tune down the sound a little to compensate the unnatural harsh sound of wire wound resistors and MKP capacitors.
